How does it work?
1. For all rentals, a checkout must be performed by an authorized Painted Rock Aviation designee. The checkout is a combination of ground and flight. It will be a flight to proficiency and ground over the systems of the Cirrus. If you have the required time, a flight checkout will be needed, usually less than 2 hours.
Minimums for insurance must be met for rental:
a. SR20- 10 hours total, 5 can be in SIM.
b. SR22T- 25 hours total, 10 can be in SIM.
2. Upon receiving a checkout and filling out the renter form, you will be given access to the reservation system via www.flightcircle.com. In addition you will be given access codes to access the hangar and the procedures for checking the plane in and out.
3. Outside Instruction is approved after a check out by an authorized Painted Rock Aviation designee. Your students will still need an aircraft rental form filled out for billing. All other check out procedures for your students to fly with out you will apply to them.
4. Block rates will need to be purchased in payments. Block rate purchases are NON-REFUNDABLE, they are transferrable if you find someone you want to sell your time to. Your block rate payment can be used for ANY aircraft. The block rate will be good for 12 months from the date of the purchase. Your balance will remain but you will revert to either member or non-member rates. Block rate payments must be a minimum of $1,500, Over $5,000 paid towards block rates will receive additional discounts. Ask about the $5k discount rate.

You will need "Personal Non-Owned", "Single Engine Piston Powered" Coverage. Select the following at a minimum:
Bodily Injury and Property Damage (Excluding Loss of Use)--$250,000 occ/$25,000
Medical Limit---$1,000
Aircraft Physical Damage (Including Loss of Use)--$50,000

For renters looking for a fast, comfortable, and safe aircraft with advanced Garmin G1000 avionics and safety features, the Cirrus SR22T is an excellent choice. However, its higher rental cost and operational complexity may require careful consideration depending on the renter's needs and experience level.
